SICA-FICA concentrates its operations in the developing world. The following is a list of the main projects undertaken to date:

1998
Jakarta, Indonesia
Commercial Access to Commercial Justice
A 3-day course in association with BANI, the Indonesian National Board of Arbitration. This was a general introduction to the culture of arbitration and considered Indonesia's potential role in international commercial dispute resolution
1999
Jakarta, Indonesia
Adjudication – Mediation – Conciliation – Ombudsman - Arbitration
A 3-day course on Dispute Resolution Methods alternative to Litigation. This was held for senior government accountants, economists and engineers, to assist in a Regulatory Development Project, financed by the IBRD (World Bank), for electricity power generation and distribution.

Commercial Access to Commercial Justice
A 3-day introductory arbitration course given in collaboration with the Lagos Centre for International Commercial Arbitration and with financial assistance from Shell Petroleum (Nigeria)

This introductory 3-day course on disputes was provided for a major Malaysian Law firm

Fundamental Principles of International Commercial Arbitration
This was a lecture and seminar for students and practising arbitrators given in Pancasila University, Jakarta

Acceso Comercial hacia la Justicia Comercial & Principios en la Práctica
These 4-day Introductory Courses in International Arbitration were given in association with Universidad Centroamericana “José Simeón Cañas”, San Salvador

New Delhi, India
Arbitration - Adjudication - ADR - Ombudsman - Dispute Boards – MEDIATION
This introductory 3-day course on dispute resolution methods for commercial disputes was given through FICAI for the International Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution

Ecuador
Arbitraje - Mediación - Conciliación - Defensoría del Pueblo - Fallo o Sentencia
A 1-day Course on dispute resolution methods alternative to litigation for commercial disputes was provided in Quito, Cuenca and Guayaquil in association with the Cámara de Comercio e Industria Ecuatoriano-Británica

Many further projects have been identified and evaluated only to be postponed through general commercial uncertainties following exceptional national and international events in recent years.

The following projects are being pursued for fulfilment during 2006 or later, as circumstances permit:

Central & Eastern Europe Comprehensive training programme in international arbitration and enforcement of awards (for arbitrators and judges)
This programme has been designed for SECI (Southeast European Cooperative Initiative) under the UN Committee for Trade, Industry and Enterprise Development (UNECE)
Indonesia Programme to initiate the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Dispute Resolution in Indonesia to facilitate the settlement of disputes by way of processes outside litigation.
This programme includes the training of arbitrators and mediators and the training of trainers for these processes
Madagascar Programme of Courses for training arbitrators, in association with CAMM (Centre d’Arbitrage et de Médiation de Madagascar)
Sabah & Sarawak, Malaysia 3-day Courses "Adjudication – Mediation – Conciliation – Ombudsman – Arbitration" introducing dispute resolution methods alternative to litigation for commercial disputes
India Programme to initiate the establishment of a Centre of Excellence for Dispute Resolution in India to facilitate the settlement of disputes by way of processes outside litigation, including training of arbitrators and mediators and the training of trainers
This programme has been designed by SICA-FICA. It will be given by FICAI.
Zambia Programme of Courses including:
Orientation Seminars for Trainers, Lawyers and other Professionals; Orientation Seminar for Judges; Extensive Training for Arbitrators; Extensive Training for Mediators; and Training for Trainers in Arbitration & Mediation
El Salvador A number of programmes of Courses including:
Introduction to commercial dispute resolution processes; A series of Courses in international arbitration, from Introduction to Diploma plus the training of trainers for future Courses; A series of Courses for international mediation & conciliation (and the training of trainers); How to deal with consumer disputes through mediation, conciliation and ombudsman schemes; Advising on legislation and court support for international commercial dispute resolution processes
This programme has been designed by SICA-FICA. It is given by the new Salvadoran organisation A.C.A. set up to reflect the Foundation’s ethos in Central America.
Ecuador A comprehensive programme in International Arbitration, leading to Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators for successful participants.

SICA-FICA is also currently discussing the provision in 2006 of introductory and other Courses in Austria, Dubai, Guatemala, Ghana, Malta, Kenya, The Netherlands, Nigeria and Russia.
